About Percy
Percy is a toy poodle with the kindest and happiest temperament. He is calm, friendly and loves everyone. Percy helps with hosting educational workshops and provides occasional visits which he loves!
Because of his gentle, patient nature and tiny size he is ideal for helping children who are fearful of dogs as well as the elderly and unwell. We find that he brings a lot of happiness and calm wherever he goes.
We keep Percy's appointments to a minimum and he is NOT an entertainer in any way shape or form. Any interactions that Percy has with people are only on his terms, at our discretion and according to our guidance.

Percy's Workshop For Children
These fun and informal workshops are designed to help children learn about dogs and some skills and knowledge to help keep them safer around dogs.
Workshops will be adapted to suit the needs and ages of the children and are designed to involve the parents as there will be a strong emphasis on supervision.
Sessions can be adapted to suit the needs of children who are very fearful of dogs. If your child is very afraid of dogs then you might prefer to book this as a private session.
Content may include the following:
*Keeping safe around dogs when out & about
*Keeping safe around dogs within the home
*Understanding dog behaviour
*Learning dog language
*How to approach dogs
*How to behave around dogs
*Understanding factors that might distress dogs
*Parental supervision
Sessions will be hosted by Percy the toy poodle and Caz and presented in an interactive manner making it easier for children to learn.
- Workshops will usually take place at Cottage Farm and will last approximately 60mins.
- Sessions usually available weekday or Sunday mornings.
- A parent or guardian must be present throughout the session and ideally involved in the children's learning.
- Suitable for primary school aged children.
- Workshops are suited to either a single family attending or perhaps a couple of families sharing a session.
- Phone 07535 040602 to book.
Session Price - £25 for up to four children
Additional children - £2 each but numbers will be limited in order to maintain a calm environment.
No charge for adults but again we will keep numbers to a minimum.
For some visitors an hour is not enough! This might be because older children or their parents wish to explore certain topics in greater depth. Or sometimes children who are very afraid of dogs simply need to take their time and move at their own pace. If this is the case then you can book an additional session if you would like to.
school visits
We will visit local schools and playgroups to teach children about dogs and safety.
Visits to schools in Billingshurst and Barns Green are FREE
A travel charge may apply to schools that are outside these areas.
